Fury 8U took the lead late in the game in a 10-9 victory over Bash Bombers on Sunday. Exiting the second inning losing 6-1 the Fury tightened up its defense and used small ball to whittle into the lead. Still down 6-3 in the top of the fourth, after RBI's by Jayla Jackson and Baileigh Anderson, Brylee St Vincent doubled to center scoring the go-ahead runs. The Bombers tied the game in the bottom of the fourth forcing extra innings.
With the game still tied, two outs and the bases loaded, Ella Clutter had a huge double to score Addie Culvey and Casey Reynolds. Jayla followed with a single to score Maggie Thomas with what ended up being the difference in the game. The Bombers added two runs in the bottom of the fifth and had the tying run on third before Cassidy Smith converted a ground ball for an out.
